Part 2 in our series on Arsenal’s performance in big games finds the Gunners falling flat yet again, this time against their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The 2-2 draw was the best possible outcome after a 2nd half red card was issued to Arsenal’s midfielder Francis Coquelin, but the result drops them significantly out of reach of Leicester City, who sit in first place.
Jesse Coleman joins the show today to talk about his own experiences in north London on derby day, and we attempt to figure out just what the hell happened to this team that looked so promising on three fronts just two weeks ago!
Lionel Messi’s two away goals have likely knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League’s Round of 16 for the sixth year in a row. Guy Yedwab, host of the Moment of Magic podcast, joins the show to break down what went wrong for the Gunners in the first leg of the two game series, and how Barcelona’s attacking trident of doom won yet again.
